The Keramag AG traditionally feels under obligation to show corporate social responsibility. First of all this applies to personnel management. At its core in this respect are a diverse range of measures in terms of personnel development and staff promotion. But also externally we engage frequently with community organisations and social projects. This kind of activity is often carried out anonymously, i.e. without shouting about it or going public. For example, during the last few years we repeatedly have stepped into the breach as sponsors when sanitary facilities in children’s nurseries, leisure facilities and facilities run by the social services were in need of repair or modernisation. The provision of high-quality products was in some instances instrumental for some of the operators to be able to implement the respective modernisation measures at all. Of course, we too make our money from selling products and cannot fulfil every request for donations in kind. A current example of our country-wide activities is our support of the McDonalds Kinderhilfe Stiftung [McDonalds Children’s Charity], which is known for operating guest houses where parents of hospitalised children can stay during the course of treatment.
