Frankfurt / Main, 27.03.2009 – With increasing urgency surrounding the sustainability of worldwide water supply, the international mega conferences that conclude with non-binding statements of intent and arguments about competencies do not provide the solution. That was the view reached by the German sanitary and building technology sector in response to the 5th “World Water Forum” in Istanbul ending on 22 March 2009. The complexity of the issue was too pressing for it to be “further delayed”. Additionally, the concern was that the vital significance of drinking water and the resulting impact on public awareness “mostly go unnoticed”.
